
Warriors Acquire Daniel Coursey in Trade with Erie

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - The Santa Cruz Warriors announced today that the team has acquired Daniel Coursey from the Erie BayHawks, in exchange for an original 2nd round pick in the 2016 NBA D-League Draft.
Coursey (6'10, 220) appeared in 20 games for Erie this season, averaging 2.3 points and 2.0 rebounds in 11 minutes per contest. He played in 50 games for Erie during the 2015-16 season, averaging 9.24 points and 5.9 rebounds per game.
After going undrafted in the 2014 NBA Draft, the Erie BayHawks selected him with the 20th overall pick of the 2014 NBA D-League Draft.
The 6-foot-10 big man averaged 7.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game in his four-year career at Mercer. As a senior, Coursey posted per-game averages of 10.1 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks while shooting 57.1 percent from the floor. In his senior season, Coursey led the Atlantic Sun Conference in rebound percentage (16) and in block percentage (10.4), and earned the Atlantic Sun's Defensive Player of the Year award.
