Erie BayHawks News Release
Erie, Pennsylvania - The Erie BayHawks have traded forward Daniel Coursey to the Santa Cruz Warriors in exchange for Santa Cruz's own NBADL 2016-17 second round draft pick, general manager George Rodman announced.
Coursey was selected by the BayHawks in the 2014 Development League Draft (second round, second overall) from Mercer University. In his rookie season, Coursey averaged 9.2 points and 6.0 rebounds in 44 starts. After starting the first three games of the 2015-16 season, Coursey moved to a bench role. In 20 games, he is averaging 2.3 points and 2.0 rebounds per game while shooting 40% from the field.
"We're grateful for Daniel's contributions to the BayHawks both on and off the court over the last two seasons," said BayHawks team president Matt Bresee. "He's been a great ambassador for our team and as well as a fierce competitor. We wish him luck and continued success on this new opportunity with Santa Cruz."
The BayHawks will play the Raptors 905 Thursday at home, 7:00 pm. All college students will receive free admittance with showing college ID. Main Level tickets prices are reduced from $10 to $8 at all Thursday games this season and a free Taco Bell combo meal is included with every ticket purchased. Tickets can be purchased at www.eriebayhawks.com or the BayHawks offices (809 French St.).
