Toledo Walleye News Release

(Toledo, OH) - The Toledo Walleye and Head Coach Nick Vitucci announced today that forward Kyle Rogers and defenseman Kyle Page have agreed to terms for the 2011-12 season.

Page, a native of Dearborn, MI, appeared in 67 games this past season for the Walleye. He scored two goals while collecting 14 assists. The 24-year-old also finished last season as a plus 10. Kyle has played a total of 79 professional games over the past two years, all with the Walleye. Page also skated four years at Bowling Green State University, where he was team Captain for the 2008 and 2009 seasons.

"We look forward to Kyle building off of his first full season as a professional and being even more of a contributor both defensively as well as offensively," said Head Coach Nick Vitucci. "Kyle is a tremendous worker both on and off the ice and we're thrilled to have him back."

Rogers signed just prior to the start of the 2010-11 season and appeared in 70 games last year with the Walleye. Kyle collected career-highs in goals (12) and assists (24) in his first season with Toledo. Prior to skating with the Walleye, Rogers spent two seasons with the Toronto Marlies in the American Hockey League. The 26-year-old has appeared in 211 professional games in his career. The native of Philadelphia, PA also spent three years at Niagara University, where he appeared in 97 games and collected 40 points (18g, 22a).

"Kyle can be a dominant force on both sides of the puck," Vitucci said. "He has grown on the coaching staff this past year with all the small things that he does right on the ice to contribute to the success of the team."
