
Walla Walla Drops Season Set After Game 2 Loss vs Cowlitz

LONGVIEW, WA- The Walla Walla Sweets dropped the middle contest to Cowlitz giving up a season-high in runs falling 17-4 to the Black Bears. Following the loss Walla Walla falls to 7-13 and 1-4 vs Cowlitz in 23'.
The Sweets got on the board first after snapping their streak of games with the first run scored a night ago. Aidan Espinoza torched a 2-out base hit to continue the second inning, and Kevin Spear drove him in an at-bat later with an RBI double to get Walla Walla on the board first.
However, Cowlitz answered back in a big way, scoring 8 runs in the bottom of the second, which was enough to seal the win for the Black Bears. However, Cowlitz did not stop there, taking on nine more runs as the Sweets would give up a season-high in runs and fall by a season-high 13 runs.
Sweets by the Numbers
- Andrew Graham moved his on-base streak to 19 games.
- Aidan Espinoza had a season-best outing going 3/4
- Kennedy Hara extended his on-base streak to 14 games
