
Walker placed on Injured Reserve for Two to Four Weeks

SACRAMENTO, CALIF - The Sacramento Monarchs today announce that forward DeMya Walker will be on the injured list from two to four weeks due to a right knee sprain suffered during Thursday night's game versus the San Antonio Silver Stars.
Walker had previously injured the same knee earlier in the season during practice and missed eight games (July 22-August 7). The 2005 WNBA All-Star has averaged 14.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.3 steals and 27.2 minutes in the 22 games she has played this season.
The Sacramento Monarchs, who have clinched first place in the Western Conference, will host the defending WNBA Champion Seattle Storm on Saturday, August 20 at 1:00 p.m. at ARCO Arena in a game to be nationally televised on ABC.
