The Pittsfield Suns (3-2) didn't have a chance on Sunday, as the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs (2-4) won in blowout fashion, 12-1 at Pittsfield @ Wachusett.
The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs scored six runs in the fifth on the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs scored in the fifth on a sacrifice fly by Chris Chiaradio, a single by Justin Silvestro, an RBI single by Jeff Anderson, a fielder's choice, and a solo home run by Jon Kristofferson.
Silvestro racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs.
Charlie Murray's seven strikeouts helped the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs to the victory. Murray allowed no earned runs on three hits and three walks over seven innings.
William Humes ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just two innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
