VOYAGERS SMASH RAPTORS
The Voyagers fell behind 1-0, but came back with a season-high tying 17 hits in a barrage that saw them beat the Raptors 11-2 Sunday. Great Falls started their onslaught in the fourth on a Joxelier Garcia RBI double, RBI singles from Johan Cruz, Antonio Rodriguez, and Jackson Glines, and a sacrifice fly from Zach Fish. The Voyagers added single runs in the fifth and seventh as Landon Lassiter singled in a run and Jake Jarvis homered, before capping the afternoon with four in the eighth. Fish and Glines each added another RBI, before Ryan Jones capped things off with a two-run single.Â
EINHARDT SHINES AGAIN
Right-hander Evin Einhardt was strong again for the Voyagers Sunday, allowing just one run on two hits in five innings of work, and striking out a career-high five. After surrendering a homer to Michael Medina in the second, the Battle Creek, Mich., native settled in, retiring the final eight Raptors he faced. The righty's performance lowered his ERA to 3.51, ninth-lowest among qualifiers in the PL.
MORE ON THE OFFENSE
Eight of the nine Voyagers in yesterday's game collected at least one base hit and had at least one RBI, and six had multi-hit efforts in the 17-hit barrage. Leading the way offensively for Great Falls was Antonio Rodriguez, who tied his career-high with four hits. Landon Lassiter also had a big day, collecting a career-high three hits, and stealing his first career base. Also adding multi-hit efforts were Johan Cruz, Zach Fish, Joxelier Garcia, and Ryan Jones who had two apiece. Fish, Jackson Glines, and Jones each drove in two, with Glines picking up the first multi-RBI game of his minor league career.
BALL LOOKS TO REBOUND Â Â Â
Right-hander Matt Ball will make his fifth start of the season tonight for the Voyagers as he looks to bounce back from a couple of rough outings in a row. The Bonita, Calif., native's first two starts of the year were quality starts, but his last two times out the righty has gone just a combined 6.1 innings, allowing 16 hits and 12 earned runs in those starts, both losses.
