BURLINGTON, VT --- There are just a few more days to cast your vote to help choose a mystery bobblehead doll for the Vermont Lake Monsters home season finale on August 27th at historic Centennial Field, sponsored by the Lake Monsters, FairPoint Communications and WCAX-TV.

Voting, which ends this Friday, April 23rd, has been going on since the contest started on www.vermontlakemonsters.com on April 7th. As anticpated, the response has been overwhelming and something that the community has really stood behind.

"It's been amazing to not only see how many different votes we have received, but more so how the community stands behind the things and the people that they believe in," said Lake Monsters General Manager, Nate Cloutier. "The Mystery Bobblehead contest symbolizes this community and State in a nutshell; people rallying for who they believe in."

Who will the bobblehead be of? Fans have until the end of the day Friday to cast their vote for who they think deserves to have their likeness molded in plastic forever. Then everyone will have to wait until August 27th to find out who the winner is, when the winner's bobblehead doll is handed out to the first 1,000 fans at the gate on FairPoint Communications Night.

"Blogs and Facebook groups have sprouted up in support of people like an election," Cloutier said. "This statewide contest has received votes for politicians, former players, community activists, our fans and more. Unfortunately, there can only be one winner, but it makes you realize how many people in this State are doing great things."

Fans are encouraged to cast their final votes at www.vermontlakemonsters.com before the contest ends late Friday and to make sure they mark August 27th on their calendar to come out to Centennial Field to see who is immortalized with a bobblehead.
