
Voorhees named Player of the Week

K.J. Voorhees, of Lake Stevens, WA playing with the Knoxville Ice Bears, has been chosen as the Sherwood "Player of the Week" in the Southern Professional Hockey League.
Voorhees, with ten points in two contests, was outstanding in Knoxville home victories over the Macon Trax and Jacksonville Barracudas. On Friday, November 19th, Voorhees fired four goals in a 9 â 5 shootout over Macon, On Saturday, in front of 3,300 spectators, he sent the Knoxville fans away happy as his game winning goal dashed the hopes of a Jacksonville comeback in a high scoring 7 â 6 victory.
K.J. is the League goal scoring leader with ten while teammate Kevin Swider leads the League in overall production with 20 points.
