New Orleans VooDoo News Release
NEW ORLEANS (April 10, 2012) - On Tuesday afternoon, New Orleans VooDoo players Lorenzo Breland, Josh Bush, Marlon Favorite, Alvin Ray Jackson and Lolomana Mikaele visited Children's Hospital, spending some time with several young patients.
The players brought smiles to a total of 14 children's faces, stopping by to play video games, talk football, take pictures, and even sign footballs for all of the young patients. The small, foam New Orleans VooDoo footballs were compliments of www.voodoostuff.com.
The 14 patients that the VooDoo players saw today were Logan, Allie, Raynell, Gerard, Ondrea, Dominic, Heidi, Rolnesha, Hailey, Mylan, Darryl, Caleb, Mariah and Tori. All of them received a signed football.
"It is great to go see all the young patients, and I think we made a few new friends today," said Jackson. "I hope that all the children that we saw today had as much fun as we did and that all of them get better in time for our next home game!"
This visit is one of 24 hospital visits that the VooDoo Dolls and players will take part in this season, splitting time between Tulane and Children's Hospital.
