
Voltigeurs' Guillaume Nadeau Named Vaughn CHL Goaltender of the Week

Toronto, ON - The Canadian Hockey League today announced that Guillaume Nadeau of the Drummondville Voltigeurs is the Vaughn CHL Goaltender of the Week for the week ending April 10 after posting a 2-0 record including a shutout victory with a goals-against-average of 0.50 and save percentage of .983.
Nadeau has backstopped the Voltigeurs to a 2-0 series lead over the Gatineau Olympiques in the second round of the QMJHL playoffs. He made 27 saves on Saturday to record his first shutout of these playoffs as first star of a 3-0 Game two win. In Game one action on Friday night, Nadeau claimed second star honours with 30 saves in a 3-1 win over the Olympiques.
Nadeau, a 19-year-old from St-Charles-de-Bellechasse, QC, is playing in his second QMJHL season and first with the Voltigeurs. In 47 regular season games this season he posted a 27-8-5-3 record with the league's fifth best goals-against-average with a mark of 2.62 along with a .897 save percentage and a league-high five shutouts.
Also considered for the award this week was Tyler Bunz of the Medicine Hat Tigers who earned two wins including a shutout victory with a goals-against-average of 0.50 and save percentage of .986. Jack Campbell of the Windsor Spitfires won twice and lost an overtime decision posting a goals-against-average of 2.96 and save percentage of .901.
