Rochester, NY - The Rochester Rhinos are pleased to announce the signings of 2015 MLS Combine MVP, Forward Christian Volesky & Midfielder Christian Silva for the 2015 season. Both players have been training with the Rhinos during preseason and are looking to make an immediate impact with the club.

Christian Volesky is a 22 year old striker originally from Henderson, Nevada. Volesky was drafted #32 in the 2015 MLS SuperDraft by the Portland Timbers but never signed a contract with the MLS club. Christian scored 23 goals over three seasons for Southern Illinois University-Ewardsville. He was honored with 1st team All-Missouri Valley Conference twice and was the Player of the Year in 2014 during his career at SIUE. He shined at the MLS combine where he was named the Tom Fitzgerald MLS Combine MVP after scoring two goals in combine games.

"He is an extremely mobile and quick player. He has a wonderful ability to get behind defenders and when he has a chance he is a good finisher. His time in college and at the MLS combine shows that he is a good goal scorer and a talented finisher," Lilley said about Volesky.

Christian Silva is a 25 year old midfielder originally from Tampa Bay, Florida. He played collegiately with the University of South Florida before traveling to Germany where spent some time playing with Hannover 96's Reserve Team in the Bundesliga. Silva returned to the United States to play for the Ocala Stampede (PDL) and VSI Tampa Bay FC (USL PRO). In 2014, Christian went on trial with clubs in Germany & Poland before playing with Bridges FC. While playing in exhibition matches in for Bridges FC in Sweden, he was picked up by Karlstad BK of the Swedish 2nd Division for the remainder of the season.

"He is a very good, technically gifted player. He reads the game well and has good vision and passing accuracy. He usually plays in a deeper, holding position and does a nice job at distributing the ball," Lilley said about Silva.
