Visalia Rawhide News Release

VISALIA, CA - The Visalia Oaks Professional Baseball Team, gearing up for the 2007 season, has added five new members to its growing Front Office. In the process, the California League affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks has increased its staff from three full time employees in 2006 to the current total of seven.

The new arrivals hail from across the country and bring a diverse mix of talents to the organization. Elena Mendoza (Chicago, IL) holds a degree in Sports Management from Ohio State and will be the team's first Hispanic Marketing Manager. Dave Garson (Philadelphia, PA) the Manager of Media Relations, is the former CEO of Quest TV Networks, and will appear on the team's radio broadcasts. New Ticketing Manager Jonathan Stone (Bloomington, IN) has held positions with Indiana and Purdue Universities. Stadium Operations Manager Mark Smith (Dallas, TX) previously served eight years in the United States Air Force in recruiting, program management, and aircraft maintenance operations. Jennifer Pendergraft (Salem, Oregon), a former collegiate softball player for Lee University will be the team's new Executive Assistant.

The team plans on hiring a Concessions Manager, a Head Groundskeeper, and another Baseball Operations Manager in the coming weeks to round out the full-time staff. The team does not plan on hiring a new general manager. Team President Tom Seidler, who in the past has served as the GM in Stockton and Great Falls, will oversee the team's growing staff.

"As the only professional sports team in Tulare and Kings Counties, our goal is to broaden our reach throughout the region as we prepare for the exciting new stadium renovations," Team President Tom Seidler said. "This new larger staff, combined with the renovations to the ballpark over the next 16 months, will allow us to reach new fans from Tulare and Kings Counties. We will also be better able to entertain and service fans at baseball games and other events at the ballpark."
