Alabama Vipers News Release

Huntsville, Ala. - The Tennessee Valley Vipers' Saturday night game against the South Georgia Wildcats will be played as scheduled. Kickoff at the Von Braun Center is slated for 7:30 and the first 1,500 fans 21-and -over will receive a Vipers 10th Anniversary Cap compliments of Budweiser and WHNT-TV 19.

"We are certainly following the situation and we are concerned for all those involved,'' Vipers managing partner Ron Evans said.

"Based upon information from the City of Huntsville through Von Braun Center management, and the conclusions of the Madison County Health Department, we believe public events in Huntsville do not pose any additional health risk. Therefore Saturday night's game against South Georgia will take place as originally planned. We will continue to monitor the situation. If local authorities issue directives to reschedule weekend events we will take whatever steps are necessary for the safety of our fans."
