Calgary Vipers News Release

The Calgary Vipers Baseball Club have promoted Patrick Haas to be the team's new General Manager. Born in Calgary the Okotoks resident has been with the organization for five seasons including the last four as Director of Media Relations and Broadcasting.

"It feels great to be recognized for my hard work over the last five years," says Haas. "I have enjoyed working for the Gidney family and look forward to continuing to learn about business from President John Conrad and learning about baseball from Manager Morgan Burkhart."

Back in 2006 the Patrick joined the team in their second season as play-by-play broadcaster fresh out of Mount Royal University where he earned a diploma in Broadcasting.

"I am pleased to have Pat accept this promotion as he has worked hard in the past two years assisting Morgan in the player personnel department," says Conrad. "This added responsibility is well deserved."

In his teenage years the now 26-year-old played baseball in the city as part of the Babe Ruth Baseball Calgary league.

2011 season tickets are now on sale and can be purchased or renewed by calling the Vipers office and speaking to Amy Woo (ext. 246) or Melissa Davies (ext. 232) to put down a deposit for the 2011 season.
