Vipers introduce new voice for 2005-06

ROANOKE, VA - The Roanoke Valley Vipers, member of the United Hockey League (UHL), are proud to introduce the latest addition to their staff, Director of Broadcasting, Matt Rosen.

Rosen spent the 2004-05 season as the voice of the Tri-City Storm in the United States Hockey League in Kearney, Nebraska. In 2004 he announced the Olympic Trials in swimming and gymnastics for international television. He also has prior experience calling a variety of other sports, including basketball, baseball, soccer, and football.

The 28-year-old Rosen graduated from the University of Arizona in 2002 with a B.A. in Media Arts. The New City, New York native has recently relocated to Roanoke and is an avid New York Rangers fan.

Rosen will be the play-by-play voice for all Vipers home and away games. Vipers games will be broadcast on a Roanoke-based station, which will be announced at a later date.
