
Burnett signed by Dallas Stars

LAKE ST. LOUIS, MO--- The Dallas Stars of the National Hockey League (NHL) signed Garrett Burnett to a contract on Monday. Burnett played seven games with the Danbury Trashers of the United Hockey League (UHL) during the 2004-05 season. He notched one assist and 48 penalty minutes for Danbury.
The 29-year-old native of Coquitlam, British Columbia first played in the UHL for the Utica Blizzard during the 1995-96 season. In 15 games for the Blizzard, he had one assist and 78 penalty minutes. The winger then had a brief stint in the UHL with the New Haven Knights during the 2001-02 season scoring one goal and adding 40 penalty minutes.
Burnett made his NHL debut with the Anaheim Mighty Ducks during the 2003-04 season. In 39 games with the Ducks, he tallied three points (1g, 2a) and collected 184 penalty minutes, which ranked ninth in the league.
