HIDALGO, Texas -- The Rio Grande Valley Vipers set a new franchise win streak record of seven-straight wins with tonight's 123-104 victory over the Sioux Falls Skyforce at State Farm Arena.

The bench led the Vipers tonight. Toure Murry scored 22 points. Vernon Macklin recorded a double-double 20 points, 10 rebounds. Tim Ohlbrecht followed with 17 points. Maalik Wayns and Terrel Harris each added 13 points. Donatas Motiejunas followed with 12 points, and Andrew Goudelock scored a double-double 10 points, 10 rebounds.

The Skyforce were led by Damian Saunders with 26 points. Donald Sloan contributed 23 points, followed by Mark Tyndale with 17 points. Mike Davis tallied 14 points, 10 rebounds, and Mychel Thompson scored 11 points.

The Skyforce held the lead throughout the first quarter. They built their largest lead, 25-15 over the Vipers on a shot from behind the arc by Saunders with 3:20 on the clock. A dunk from Murry early in the second quarter tied the game at 30 points. Harris followed with a layup to take the 32-30 advantage. From that point, the Vipers never let go of the lead. RGV entered the half up 55-48.

Throughout the second half, the Vipers held on to control. By the end of the third quarter, RGV built its lead to 91-75. Sioux Falls opened the fourth quarter with a 9-0 run to close their deficit to 91-84 on a layup from Tyndale. Murry responded with a three-pointer and the Vipers never looked back. RGV claimed the game 123-104.

The Vipers hit the road Sunday for a 3 p.m. game versus the Austin Toros. This game marks the start of a six game road swing for the Vipers. Fans can listen to Vipers games live on Fox Sports 1700 and can watch the game live on the NBA Development League Network on YouTube.
