Victor's 22 points lead Dazzle in 91-81 victory over Patriots

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Roanoke forward Isiah Victor led all scorers with 22 points and lifted the Dazzle to a 91-81 victory over the Patriots Thursday night at the Crown Coliseum. The Patriots started out hot and led 12-2 at the beginning of the game before the Dazzle went on a 10-0 run in the middle of the first quarter to finish the quarter with a 24-21 lead.

The Dazzle then outscored the Patriots 21-13 in the second quarter to give them a comfortable 45-34 lead at the half. Victor had 16 of the 24 Dazzle points at the half. The Patriots cut the lead to one point, 58-57, when Omar Cook hit a three-pointer with 2:23 to go in the third quarter, but Roanoke's Mike King and Isiah Victor helped keep the lead for the Dazzle at the end of the fourth quarter to give Roanoke the 10-point victory on the road.

Three other Dazzle players were in double figures, including King with 18 points. James Thomas had one of the games double-doubles with 11 points and a game-high 16 rebounds. Terrance Shannon had 10 points for the Dazzle.

The Patriots were led by Tang Hamilton's double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Three other Patriots were in double figures. Omar Cook had 14 points and six assists. David Young and Ousmane Cisse had 13 points.

The Patriots (1-8) return to action Saturday, December 11th at the Roanoke Civic Center to face the Dazzle (4-3) at 7:00 p.m. For more information, log onto nbdl.com.
