HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Dec. 9 - The Huntsville Flight are teaming up with three local charities to help make this a happy holiday season for local underprivileged children.

Proceeds from the purchase of box seat tickets to any of six selected Flight home games will be used to purchase toys which will be donated to Toys for Tots, Harris Home for Children, and Christmas Charities Year Round.

The box seat tickets, which normally sell for $15, can be bought for $10 each, with a portion of the money going toward the purchase of toys. The following is a list of games which apply:

Friday, December 10
Saturday, December 11
Friday, December 25
Tuesday, December 28
Wednesday, December 29
Saturday, January 1

"We've been a part of this community for four years, and this is another part of our commitment to helping some of our less fortunate neighbors," Flight team president Tom Wagganer said.

"These tickets make a great holiday gift, and at the same time they allow people to give something back to their community."

Toys for Tots is a U.S. Marine Corp program to collect new, unwrapped toys and deliver them as Christmas presents to needy children in the community.

Harris Home for Children serves as a foster care institution and child placement agency. The Home provides full-time foster care for neglected and dependent boys and girls between the ages of 12 and 21.

Christmas Charities Year Round collects toys and food for needy families in Huntsville and Madison County.

Tickets for this program can be purchased at the Huntsville Flight office in the Von Braun Center. For more information call the Huntsville Flight at (256) 429-1000.
