Vice President Biden Bobblehead Doll Highlights '09 Giveaways

Wilmington, DE - When fans come to a Blue Rocks game at Frawley Stadium, not only will they enjoy great baseball and tons of fun family entertainment, but they might also receive a free giveaway to top off the experience. In that spirit, the Wilmington Blue Rocks are announcing a plethora of promotional giveaways during the 2009 season.

Some of the highlighted items include: magnetic schedules (brought to you by Healthy Smiles of Delaware) for the home opener on April 17; long sleeve t-shirts (from Sun East Federal Credit Union) on May 2; and Cooler Bags (courtesy of WSFS) on June 18. Of course, no promotional giveaway list would be complete without bobblehead dolls, and the Blue Crew will feature four such giveaways in 2009, including Everett Teaford bobblehead dolls (from Bank of America) on June 5; and Vice President Joe Biden bobblehead dolls, (courtesy of ShopRite) on July 30.

In addition to these giveaways, the Rocks will feature six in-game auctions in '09. These bidding battles allow fans the opportunity to buy hats or jerseys worn by the players during the game, with all of the proceeds going to one of the Blue Rocks' great charitable causes.

On Thursday, the Rocks are set to announce the entertainment acts that will make their way to Wilmington in '09. On Friday, the Blue Crew will unveil its individual theme nights, which make it SHOWTIME at Frawley Stadium.
