
Versus Analyst Doug Flutie To Kick Off Visits To United Football League Training Camps In Orlando

JACKSONVILLE, FL - Tuesday, August 24 - VERSUS color analyst and former all-star quarterback DOUG FLUTIE will kick off a series of visits to United Football League training camps in Orlando, Fla. on Wednesday, August 25.
Flutie was a member of the VERSUS broadcast team that provided viewers with an expert insight into the league's inaugural season in 2009 and will again provide color when the 2010 season debuts on Versus on September 25.
He will attend Florida Tuskers training camp at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando from 9am to 12pm on Wednesday morning to scout the team as part of his preparations for analyzing the 2010 UFL season. Full details of the VERSUS broadcast team and dates of visits to other training camp venues will be announced.
A phenomenal college football player who rose to prominence during his playing days at Boston College, Flutie is probably best remembered for his 1984 "Hail Mary" touchdown pass. A Heisman Trophy and Davey O'Brien National Quarterback Award winner, Flutie has had experience playing at all levels of professional football including the USFL, the NFL and the CFL. He led the Toronto Argonauts to back-to-back Grey Cup victories and was named CFL Most Outstanding Player a record six times and MVP in all of his three Grey Cup victories.
