Tuskers to Host Kickoff Fan Event Saturday

ORLANDO, FL - TUESDAY, AUGUST 22, 2010-The Florida Tuskers will hold a free fan event on Saturday, August 28. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at Thunder Field, adjacent to the Florida Citrus Bowl.

The Tuskers will hold a practice, including a live scrimmage. Following practice, the Tuskers players and coaches will participate in a meet and greet and autograph session with the fans. In addition to the scrimmage, the team will have inflatable games set up for the children. The Central Florida Blood Bank will have the Big Red Bus on property and will give away tickets to the Tuskers Sept. 30 home opener with the Las Vegas Locomotives for those registering to donate.

In addition, there will be an appearance by the Florida Tuskers Dance Team, live radio remotes by four Clear Channel stations and free souvenir schedule posters for those in attendance.

"We certainly would like to invite all football fans in Central Florida to come out and meet the Tuskers," Head Coach Jay Gruden said. "It will be a great opportunity for the community to get to know our team and find out what the United Football League is all about."
