Vero Beach Dodgers unveil 25th anniversary logo

Vero Beach, FL—The Vero Beach Dodgers unveiled today the team’s 25th anniversary logo. The Dodgers will celebrate this anniversary all season long with special giveaways and promotions. The highlight of the celebration will be held on June 4, 2005 against the St. Lucie Mets. The Dodgers will hold a fireworks show with former Vero Beach Dodgers returning to Holman Stadium.

"We are excited to celebrate our 25th anniversary with all of our fans,” stated Trevor Gooby, General Manager of the Vero Beach Dodgers. “We have seen many great players come through Vero Beach and we are planning on honoring them throughout the 2005 season.”

The anniversary logo will be featured on official game hats and will be worn by the players on selected games. The logo will be displayed on all promotional material distributed during the 2005 season. The logo will also be featured on merchandise that is available for sale at the Dodgertown Gift Shop. The Gift Shop is currently open daily except Sunday from 10 am-3 pm..

“Fans will notice that the main Vero Beach Dodgers logo has been modified,” stated Gooby. “After 25 years, we thought the logo needed a slight ‘face-lift’, but we all love the logo so it will continue to be our main mark. The grapefruit logo has been a hallmark of our team, but the slight changes modernize our look.”

The logos were designed by Studio Simon, a Louisville, KY-based creative firm. Studio Simon develops comprehensive branding strategies and solutions for a wide range of professional sports teams, leagues, colleges and universities. In addition to their work with the Vero Beach Dodgers, Studio Simon has teamed with the Los Angeles Dodgers, the NFL and more than 25 Minor League Baseball franchises.

The 25th anniversary season will begin on April 7, 2005 in St. Lucie. The Vero Beach Dodgers home opener is April 8, 2005 at 6:30 pm vs. St. Lucie Mets.
