Montreal Royal News Release
MONTREAL, November 9, 2007- For its opening game of the season, the Montreal Royal played against last year's ABA Champions, the Vermont Frost Heaves. The challenged proved to be tough indeed as the Montreal Royal lost 98 to 82
The Vermont Frost Heaves showed quickness and toughness, proving they will be one of the best team in the ABA this year. Through the first half, the Frost Heaves maintained a 10 point lead. At the Half, the score was 47-33. For the Royal, Kordell Jeanty and Tommy Mitchell were among the best scorers.
The second half saw the Vermont Heaves continue to play hard as they outscored the Royal. Although players like Denburk Reid, Kordell Jeanty and Quilninious "Q" Randall tried to spark the Royal with spectacular plays and several baskets, the Vermont Frost Heaves continued their excellent play. Terrance Green, from the Frost Heaves, showed all his talent at point guard.
