Venom Announce Inaugural Training Camp Dates

Loveland, Colo. – The Colorado Venom of the National Indoor Football League (NIFL) is pleased to announce that its inaugural 2004 training camp is set to take place this Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 28-29 at Regis High School in Aurora.

Saturday's schedule will take place from 1 – 5 p.m. and Sunday's event is slated for 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., with 26 players expected to be in attendance. Regis High School is located at 16300 East Weaver Place, Aurora, Colorado.

Training camp will be held on the outside fields and is open to the public. Any media that wish to attend must contact Venom Director of Communications, Barry Rubenstein, at (970) 206-4889 to be put on the media list.

"We're excited to finally get things started," said Venom head coach Ron Mondt. "It will provide the coaching staff with a great opportunity to evaluate players and put our system into place."

The Venom kick-start its inaugural 2004 campaign Saturday, March 13, 2004 in Salt Lake City, facing off against the reigning Pacific Conference Champion Utah Warriors. Then after a two-week layoff, Colorado will hold its first home game of the season at the Budweiser Events Center Saturday, April 3 against the Lincoln Capitals. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.

Venom season tickets are still available, with prices ranging from $70 to $245 for the complete 7-game home schedule.
