
Van Culin Named Ferris\' CCHA Scholar-Athlete of the Year

Former Wichita Falls player Joe Van Culin has been named Ferris State's representative for the 2004-2005 Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
Van Culin is one of 11 finalists to be selected for the CCHA Scholar Athlete of the year. Nominees must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.25 through the fall term of the selection year to receive their school's Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award.
"It is a great thrill to see our guys doing well both on and off the ice," said Wildcats head coach Brian Meisner. "Joe is a great kid and we wish him the best."
