
Valour FC Sign Canadian Defender Matthew Chandler

WINNIPEG, MB. - Valour FC today announces the club has signed Canadian defender Matthew Chandler ahead of the 2023 season.
Chandler, 23, joins Valour FC after spending the fall of 2022 with the Wisconsin Badgers, serving as the team captain. He made 21 appearances, scoring two goals and adding one assist.
The defender played for St. John's University from 2018 to 2021, where he appeared in 52 games totaling 4527 minutes. He was named Big East Conference All-Academic Team every year he was there.
Chandler spent time with the Oakville Blue Devils of League1 Ontario between his time with St. John's and his stint in Wisconsin. He was named to League1's second All-Star team in November 2022.
