Valor head to Albany for first matchup with Empire
The Valor take on the Albany Empire Saturday, May 5 at 7:30 p.m. at the Times Union Center in Albany, New York. The game will be broadcast live on CBS Sports Network.
Soul defeat Valor in Philadelphia
The Washington Valor were defeated, 67-51, by the defending-champion Philadelphia Soul Saturday night at Wells Fargo Center. Valor wide receiver Josh Reese set a career high with three receiving touchdowns while Soul quarterback Dan Raudabaugh threw five touchdowns and was named the game's MVP.
Home opener - May 11
The Valor announced earlier this month that the team's home opener, originally scheduled for Saturday, April 21, was moved to Friday, May 11 to accommodate the NBA and NHL playoffs. Washington will host the Albany Empire at 7 p.m. at Capital One Arena.
Nick Davila to miss the remainder of the 2018 season
Washington Valor quarterback Nick Davila underwent successful surgery to stabilize a neck injury sustained in Saturday night's game against the Philadelphia Soul. Davila is expected to make a full recovery as he sustained no neurological damage and has full movement in all extremities. Davila will begin rehabilitation immediately and will miss the remainder of the 2018 season.

Friday, May 11: The Valor open their 2018 slate of home games against the Albany Empire at 7 p.m. at Capital One Arena.
