Four Valor players named to 2019 All-Arena team
The Arena Football League (AFL) announced the 2019 All-Arena teams. Washington Valor players Jimmy Gordon (LB), Alvin Ray Jackson (LB), Arvell Nelson (QB) and Anthony Parker (OL) were named Second Team All-Arena for their performances in 2019.
Valor's Cronin named Equipment Manager of the Year
Shawn Cronin, football operations and equipment coordinator for the Valor, was named the AFL's Equipment Manager of the Year. Cronin handled all team equipment and day-to-day team operations at Athletic Performance Inc., the team's practice facility. Cronin was the primary point of contact for visiting teams throughout their trips, played an important role in game day operations and assisted with football operations and other duties.
Valor set numerous franchise records in 2019
The Valor closed the 2019 season with seven wins, more than the team registered in its first two seasons combined. Washington's offense averaged 44.8 points per game, the highest in franchise history while Nelson set a number of single-season franchise records in 2019: completions (240), attempts (412), passing yards (2,980), passing touchdowns (54), rushing attempts (75), rushing yards (226) and rushing touchdowns (19).

Douglas McNeil III to host 5th annual youth football camp
Valor wide receiver Douglas McNeil III will host his 5th annual iDream Youth Camp this Friday, August 16 from 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. at New Town High School (4931 New Town Blvd, Owings Mills, MD 21117). The camp is open to all athletes ages 7-17 looking to take their skills to the next level.
Online registration is open now at this LINK. On-site registration on the day of camp will open at 8 a.m.
Campers in attendance will have the chance to work with and learn from professional athletes and trainers, as well as receive giveaways and compete for prizes. Campers are asked to wear shorts and athletic shoes or cleats.
