Utah Warriors Announce WarriorsFest and New HQ

HERRIMAN, Utah - Utah's sports scene is on fire, experiencing a surge in momentum and success across various professional leagues. With the recent addition of an NHL team to Utah's sports landscape, the state will have six professional teams calling Utah home by the end of 2024. This expansion reinforces Utah's position as a premier destination for sports and sets the stage for continued achievement in the professional sports arena.

The Utah Warriors professional rugby team is capitalizing on this momentum and celebrating the growing sports community with a 15,000-person festival called WarriorsFest slotted for June 28th, further propelling Utah's professional sports industry to new heights. This final match in the Warriors season is also likely to be the make-or-break moment for the Warriors' playoff hopes in 2024.

The state's sports industry boasts a diverse offering of professional sporting events for Utahns to enjoy year-round. The Warriors, who have been steadily growing their fanbase and capturing the enthusiasm of both longtime rugby fans and newcomers to the sport, are flanked by several teams whose introduction to and success in Utah have helped build momentum and expand professional sports' influence. The Archers lacrosse team's move to Utah, along with the arrival of an NHL team, broadened the state's sports appeal, attracting hockey and lacrosse enthusiasts. The return of the Utah Royals has reignited soccer fans' enthusiasm. With these recent additions and Utahns' steadfast loyalty to teams like the Utah Jazz and Real Salt Lake, it's evident that the state's sports culture is thriving.

With such multifaceted growth and engagement across various sports, Utah's sports scene is more vibrant than ever, fostering a sense of community and pride in sports fans across the state.

This summer, the Utah Warriors will host an event emphasizing this community aspect of Utah's sports identity, inviting sports fans from around the state to come together. The event not only promises an exciting rugby match but also underscores the team's commitment to community engagement. WarriorsFest, which will take place at America First Field on June 28, will celebrate Utah's shared community and the Warrior in every kid. The festival is built around the Warriors' last home match of 2024 and will feature fireworks, live music, and a beach ball toss fundraiser for Primary Children's Hospital. The family-friendly match will also include activities for children before and during the game.

In addition to WarriorsFest, the Utah Warriors have announced the opening of their new headquarters, a state-of-the-art facility that will serve as the home of Utah's rich rugby community and heritage. This new HQ, made possible through the generous partnership renewal with Intermountain Health and the involvement of CCBank, will provide a central hub for rugby fans, athletes, and the broader community.

Kimball Kjar, Founder and CEO of the Utah Warriors, shared, "Our new HQ will be the home of Utah's rich rugby community and heritage. This is a place where we can come together, celebrate our love for the sport, and continue to grow and strengthen our community."

To celebrate the opening of this new facility, the Utah Warriors will host an open house on May 29th. The event will include media tours and will be open to community leaders at 11 AM, followed by a public opening at 6 PM, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the new headquarters and the opportunity to meet some of the team's players and staff.
