Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz News Release

OKLAHOMA CITY - The Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz (7-7) dropped one spot in the latest af2 Coaches Poll to #12 after close loss to the Rio Grande Valley Dorados (7-6), 46-43 last Friday night. The Yard Dawgz have lost by a total of 4 points to the Dorados this season. The team must put last weeks close call behind them as they return home to the Cox Convention Center for the final home game of the regular season against the 11th ranked Bossier Shreveport BattleWings (8-5).

The Dawgz clinched a playoff berth in week 14 and currently sit in seventh place in the National Conference playoff standings. If the season ended today, Oklahoma City would travel to Tulsa to take on their in-state and Central Division arch rivals, the Tulsa Talons.

If the Dawgz win their last two games of the regular season, they still have the opportunity to rise as high as the fifth seed. In this scenario, Oklahoma City would most likely face the Boise Burn or possibly the Spokane Shock in a rematch from two weeks ago.

The Yard Dawgz take on the Bossier Shreveport BattleWings in the final home game of the regular season this Saturday, July 11th at the Cox Convention Center. Yard Dawgz single game tickets are on sale, starting at only $2! The Yard Dawgz Block Party begins before every home game at 5:00 PM on Reno. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:11 PM.
