The Hawks host the Rebels at 1ST SUMMIT Arena on Valentine's Day Weekend!

The love affair between the Jtown rivals will be on full display over Vday at 1ST SUMMIT Arena this weekend with the home team battling for 1st place while the visiting team is battling for the last playoff spot in the East Division.

With a combined 1500 in penalty minutes, fans can expect a physical, high pace series.

This will be the 9th and 10th meeting between the Hawks and Rebels this season.

The two clubs met 8 previous times with the Hawks leading the series with 5 wins and 3 losses.

Hawks team scope:

The Hawks enter Valentines Day on a hot streak coming off a weekend sweep of Northeast Generals (8-3 and 2-1).

Johnstown is sitting comfortably in second place of the East division with 60 points behind the first-place New Jersey Titans (65) points and in front of third place WB Knights (45 points).

The Red, White and Navy Blue are 8-2 in their last 10 home games at 1ST SUMMIT Arena and have outscored their competition 38-24 during that time.

Rebels team scope:

The Rebels seem to be peaking at the right time also coming off a weekend sweep of 3rd place Wilkes Barre by the score of 3-0 and 6-1, allowing only 1 goal on 67 shots.

Similar to the Hawks, the Rebels are on a 7-3 run in their last 10 games and making a push for the 4th and last playoffs spot in the East division only 2 points behind Maryland and 21 points behind the Hawks.

By the Numbers:

The Rebels (18-25-1-2) are coming into Johnstown (28-13-2-2) having scored the least amount of goals in the division this season with 108 while the Hawks enter the weekend tied for the least amount of goals allowed in the division with 131.

The Hawks lead the 8 game series played so far with 27 goals scored on 247 shots versus 18 goals allowed on 222 shots received.

The Rebels might be struggling on the road this season with 17 losses in 24 games, but 6 of those loses were decided by only 1 goal.

On the other hand the Hawks have 15 wins in 21 games as the home team this season.

33% of #17 Noah Basarab's point total this season came against the Rebels (9 of his 27 points). While #91 Max Kouznetsov leads the charge with 11 points in 8 games against the Rebels, including both goals in the 2-0 Hawks win on Dec 18.

Monday, March 2nd: During this unusually timed home-stand, Johnstown will battle it out with Maine. On this night we will be celebrating Dr. Seuss's birthday. Kids from area school districts will be able to be a part of some seussically-fun filled activities.
