
Unlikely Hero's Lead Sox to Win

Great Falls Voyagers News Release
Great Falls, MT - Tonight the Great Falls White Sox defeated the Orem Owlz 6-4 at Centene Stadium. Matt Nachreiner (3-2) picked up the win in relief as he worked two innings, allowing only a walk. The save went to Boone Logan (2) as he worked the ninth and allowed a run on two hits. The loss went to Andrew Hill (2-4) as he worked one and a third innings, allowing three runs on four hits.
Great Falls scored first in the second on a JJ Schmidt double scoring Brandon Allen. Orem would then tie the game in the third on an RBI triple by Hainley Statia.
In the fifth Orem would take a lead. Marco Albano singled home two runs to put the Owlz up 3-1. The Sox would then tie the game in the sixth. Francisco Hernandez singled home Manny Rodriguez before Hernandez scored on Rolando Acosta's single to make it 3-3.
The Sox would then get a bases loaded walk in the seventh before Schmidt doubled home two runs to put the Sox up 6-3. Orem would score once in the ninth, but the Sox would hold on for a 6-4 win.
Tomorrow night the Sox will play the second of a four game series with the Orem Owlz. The starters for the game are: Noe Rodriguez (LHP) for Great Falls and Kelly Shearer (LHP) for Orem. Game time is at 7:00pm and can be heard on 560AM-KMON starting at 6:45.
