United Indoor Football Week 10 Players of the Week Announced

Omaha, NE - James McNear, Mark Blackburn and Hurtis Chinn have been selected as United Indoor Football (UIF) players of the week for their play in week 10 of the UIF season.
McNear, quarterback for the Omaha Beef, earns Offensive Player of the Week honors for his efforts in last week's game. In Omaha's 53-47 win over the Sioux City Bandits, he completed 16 of 21 passes for 158 yards and six touchdowns. McNear added 52 rushing yards to finish his evening with 210 yards of total offense. He currently leads the Beef in both of the rushing and passing categories. So far this season, McNear has thrown for 1,384 yards and 25 touchdowns while also rushing for 419 yards and nine touchdowns. This weekend, he and his teammates will welcome the Billings Outlaws to the Omaha Civic Auditorium Saturday evening.
Blackburn, linebacker for the Sioux Falls Storm, has been tabbed as Defensive Player of the Week. Last weekend, in the team's 60-13 win over the RiverCity Rage, he tallied eight tackles (all solo), three tackles for loss, two sacks and an interception. In addition, Blackburn forced and recovered a fumble, returning it nine yards for a touchdown. This weekend, Sioux Falls will host the Wichita Wild Saturday evening at the Sioux Falls Arena.
Chinn, wide receiver for the RiverCity Rage, is honored with Special Teams Player of the Week. In last week's action against the Sioux Falls Storm, he returned four kicks for 111 yards with a long of 38 yards. In addition, Chinn caught three passes for 31 yards. This weekend, Chinn and the Rage head west to face the Colorado Ice Saturday evening at the Budweiser Events Center at the Ranch.
