INDEPENDENCE, Mo - The Missouri Comets (3-0) return home following a successful two-game road trip last weekend with wins over Dallas and Harrisburg to host interstate rivals, St. Louis Ambush (0-1) on Friday at the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena. The game, which will kick off at 7:35 p.m. CT will be streamed live on Go Live Sports Cast. In addition, in-game updates can be followed on Twitter @CometsMASL.

Coach Vlatko Andonovski's team kicked off the 2015/16 Major Arena Soccer League on a good note. Two weeks ago, the Comets came back by scoring three goals in the last three minutes to tie the match and eventually win the home opener in overtime against the Cedar Rapids Rampage. Tonight, Missouri hosts the St. Louis Ambush, who dropped their home opener with a disappointing 9-7 loss against the Chicago Mustangs.

After paying a three-game suspension, Defender of the Year finalist Brian Harris is expected to play. However, the Comets will be without league MVP Leo Gibson (two-game suspension) and Alain Matingou (injury).

On the other hand, the Ambush strengthened their roster this year with the signings of midfielder Lucas Almeida, who currently leads his team with three points coming from two goals and one assist as well as forward Freddy Moojen. In addition, last year's Rookie of the Year, forward Gordy Gurson is also a part of a dangerous St. Louis side.

This will be the first of three regular season meetings between the Comets and the Ambush this year. Ever since coming back in 2012/13, the Ambush has never been able to defeat the Comets. Missouri leads the All-time series 9-0.

So far, the Comets are led by team captain Vahid Assadpour with 10 points (three goals and seven assists) followed by forward Max Touloute, who was included in this week's MASL Team of the Week with 9 points (seven goals and two assists). Goalkeeper Boris Pardo is tied with Tacoma's Danny Waltman with three wins.

Next up, Missouri will pack its bags and head to Chicago as they visit the Mustangs tomorrow at 7:05 p.m. CT at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, IL.
