Sioux Falls Storm News Release

The Sioux Falls Storm of United Indoor Football (UIF) has re-signed safety Justin Landis for the remainder of the 2008 season. Landis will be returning for his fifth season in a Storm uniform. Landis is coming off one of the best seasons in Storm history for a defensive back in 2007. Landis was one of eight Storm players named to the UIF All-Star team in 2007. Landis is expected to play this weekend vs. Sioux City.

The South Dakota State alum finished second on the team in tackles as he was involved in 86 during the 2007 regular season. Landis has compiled 300 tackles in his career, which ranks seventh on the Storm's all-time list. Landis also intercepted opposing quarterbacks nine times during 2007, which was the most in the UIF. He also led the team in safeties with two. He was also second on the team in tackles in 2006 as he was involved in 112 during the 2006 regular season. That marked the fifth most in one season in Storm history. He was also second on the team in tackles during 2005 with 102 marking the seventh best tackling total for one season in Storm history.
