DULUTH, Minn. - The U.S. Women's National Team improved to 2-0 on the Hilton Family Skate to 2006 Tour with a 5-2 win over the Western Collegiate Hockey Association All-Stars in Duluth, Minn., tonight.

Caitlin Cahow (New Haven, Conn.) opened the scoring for Team USA, firing a slapshot from the high slot at 7:03 of the first period. Midway through the period with Team USA on the power play, Angela Ruggiero (Harper Woods, Mich.) re-directed a shot by Julie Chu (Fairfield, Conn.) for the 2-0 lead. Bemidji State forward Tara Hiscock put the WCHA All-Stars on the board with a shot from the low crease as time expired in the first.

Early in the second stanza, Tricia Dunn-Luoma (Derry, N.H.) converted on a two-on-one to give the USA a two-goal lead.

Dunn-Luoma tallied again less than two minutes into the third period when she knocked in a backhanded shot from low in the crease. Krissy Wendell (Brooklyn Park, Minn.) upped the U.S. lead at the 10-minute mark, shooting low to the stick-side. Cami Wooster scored the second goal for the WCHA All-Stars with eight minutes left to play.

The U.S. Women's National Team will travel to Canada for two games against Team Canada before resuming the Hilton Family Skate to 2006 Tour on Nov. 1, 2005, against the Eastern College Athletic Conference All-Stars at Yale University's Ingalls Rink.
