"This was a good win for our team, especially since it was our first game against NCAA Division I competition," said Ron Rolston, head coach of the U.S. National Under-18 Team. "The team showed a lot of determination to come back after going down 2-0 in the first period and Adam Murray made some big saves when we needed them."

The Seawolves struck early with a goal from Luka Vidmar at 4:29 of the first period. Mat Robinson doubled UAA's lead with a power-play goal just 1:31 later. With a two-man advantage, Team USA cut the deficit in half after Ryan Bourque (Boxford, Mass.) took a feed from Nick Mattson (Chanhassen, Minn.) and fired it home at 14:17. Just 30 seconds later Bourque hit Jeremy Morin (Auburn, N.Y.) on a rush and Morin one-timed a shot past untidier Olthuis.

Ryan gave Team USA its first lead of the game at 2:01 of the middle period when he tapped Chris McCarthy's (Collegeville, Pa.) feed past the goalie on the far post. The Seawolves' Kevin Clark netted the equalizer with a backhanded shot at 10:27.

Just 1:56 into the final frame, Ryan netted the go-ahead goal after collecting the puck in front of the Seawolves net and firing it home. Murray made 13 of his 26 saves during the third period to earn the 4-3 victory.

The U.S. National Under-18 Team returns to action on Saturday (September 27) when it takes on the University of Alaska at 7:05 p.m. AKT in Fairbanks.
