NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. - Despite a 36-save performance from Adam Murray (Anchorage, Alaska), the U.S. National Under-18 Team fell to Merrimack College, 4-2, here tonight.

The Warriors got on the board first with a power-play goal when Francois Ouimet converted on a rebound at 8:30 of the opening stanza. Merrimack retook the lead when Jesse Todd tipped Chris Barton's pass into the back of the net backside. With just 31 seconds to go in the first frame, Carter Madsen tallied an unassisted shorthanded goal to make it 3-1.

Chris Brown (Flower Mound, Texas) took a cross-ice feed from Drew Shore (Denver, Colo.) , skated into the Warrior zone and ripped a wrist shot from the top of the faceoff circle at 11:02 of the second period to bring Team USA within one. Murray turned aside all 11 shots he saw in the middle frame.

Todd knocked home a rebound with just 1:57 to play in regulation to ice the 4-2 win for Merrimack.
