Fire, Galaxy in PHX Soccer Clasico
The Chicago Fire and Los Angeles Galaxy will play their final preseason match, the PHX Soccer Clasico, on March 14 at 8 p.m. CT at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Arizona. For all fans that would like to attend the game, American Airlines, the official airline of the Chicago Fire and Major League Soccer will extend fans a 5% savings off airfares to Phoenix, Arizona for travel between March 11-17.
Visit www.aa.com and enter A9439BD in the "promo code" box when making a reservation. Game tickets are on sale now for $36 ($40 at the gate) and can be purchased online at www.phxsoccerclasico.com, by calling (480) 965-1000, or by visiting the Sun Devil Stadium Box Office during business hours.
Season Kickoff Luncheon
The 11th Annual FireWorks For Kids Foundation Season Kickoff Luncheon presented by Ticketmaster will be held Tuesday, March 24, 2009, at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel. This is the first opportunity of the season for fans to meet the 2009 Chicago Fire players and coaches, and will be one of the few events of the season featuring the club's full roster.
This memorable event includes a reception, lunch and silent auction consisting of Fire and other sports memorabilia, gift certificates and much more. The first 20 paid full tables of 10 will sit with a Chicago Fire player. This event will sell out, so don't miss your opportunity to help kick off the 2009 Fire season!
USA vs. Mexico Viewing Party
It may still feel like winter, but the MLS season is just around the corner! Fire players representing the Red, White and Blue Fire players Jon Busch, Chris Rolfe and John Thorrington have been retained for the U.S. Men's National Team training camp in advance of the showdown against Mexico.
