ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Ryan Rezmierski (Ann Arbor, Mich.) has been promoted to Director of Player Personnel for USA Hockey's National Team Development Program. Rezmierski will replace Ken Martel, who has accepted a position with USA Hockey in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Rezmierski is currently in his sixth season with the NTDP. He has served in multiple capacities from the NTDP's inaugural season in 1996-97 through 2000.

In 2000, Rezmierski left to work as the video coordinator for the University of Michigan's hockey program, where he experienced three consecutive NCAA Frozen Four appearances, two Central Collegiate Hockey Association playoff championships and one CCHA regular season title. He went on to serve as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator during the 2003-04 season with the Danville (Ill.) Wings in their inaugural season in the United States Hockey League.

Rezmierski served as an assistant coach for gold-medal-winning U.S. National Under-17 teams at the Four Nations Tournament in 2002 and 2004. He then returned to the NTDP last season as its recruiting coordinator.

"Ryan has done an excellent job for us," said Scott Monaghan, director of operations for the NTDP. "He has earned the opportunity to coordinate our player evaluation and scouting and will do an excellent job."

"I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to continue to work with the NTDP staff in a greater capacity," said Rezmierski. "I look forward to the challenge of continuing the successes of the NTDP in recruiting and developing the top players in the United States."
