Tyler Sloan On His Way Back To Chocolatetown

HERSHEY - The HERSHEY BEARS announced today that defenseman Tyler Sloan has signed a contract for the upcoming 2007-08 season. The announcement was made today by BEARS President/GM Doug Yingst.

Sloan, 26, is coming off arguably his best pro season as he enters 2007-08. He played in 68 games for HERSHEY last season, one off his AHL career high, notching 11 points and a career high 104 penalty minutes. Sloan also recorded seven points in 17 games during the 2007 Calder Cup Playoffs, also a new career best. The Calgary, Alberta native played his first full season with HERSHEY in 2006-07 after making his BEARS debut during the 2006 Calder Cup Championship run.

Great seats are still available, including the popular 12 and 22-game plans that allow you to pick your own games that fit your schedule. The BEARS will open training camp Thursday, September 20 at GIANT Center prior to the team's first exhibition game against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Saturday, September 22. HERSHEY will open its 70th anniversary season on Wednesday, October 3 at Wilkes-Barre, and host the Rochester Americans in the team's home opener on Saturday, October 20 at 7:00 p.m. Single-game tickets for all regular season games will go on sale to the general public Tuesday, September 11.
