Texas Tycoons News Release

Fort Worth, TX. A week following the star-studded Texas Summer Music Conference ABA Celebrity Weekend, the ABA Texas Tycoons announced the departure of Head Coach/GM Steve Tucker and the hiring of Associate Head Coach Richard Bacon.

Tycoons' President Michael Senters had this to say about the transition: "We wish Steve well. He embodies the drive, commitment and passion that is required to make a start-up team successful. However, Coach Bacon is a coaching legend in the state of Texas. North Texas fans know, love and respect him. His players, former and present would run through a brick wall for him with no questions asked. We did well last year but we're the Tycoons! We're striving to be better in all facets of our operation."

The Tycoons will hold a free agent tryout camp Saturday, September 10th at Senter Park, 901 Senter Road, Irving, TX 75060. For more information about the Tycoons, the tryout camp, visit www.txtycoons.com or call 817 4 TYCOON.

The Tycoons organization would like to extend its thanks to the ABA and the thousands of Texas Tycoons fans that attended the event in Dallas last month. It exemplified the ABA at its best. The perfect combination of business, basketball and entertainment.
