Waterloo Black Hawks News Release
Each time the Indiana Ice scored Tuesday, Billy Maday had the answer for the Waterloo Black Hawks, who eventually pulled ahead for a 3-2 win.
Patrick Cullen put the Ice ahead on a shot from the left hash mark at 18:09 of the first period, but 28 seconds later Maday redirected a pass from Eddie Olczyk past Scott Darling to tie the game.
When Brandon Blandina scored on a rush up ice at 14:43 of the second period, Maday shoveled in a rebound from Brett Olson's shot 2:50 later on the power play.
Siim Liivik scored a similar power play goal at 3:03 of the third to give the Hawks the only lead they would need.
The Black Hawks take to the road to visit the Omaha Lancers at 7:05 Friday. The next home game for Waterloo is Saturday against the Lincoln Stars, sponsored by Veridian Credit Union. The first 500 fans to Young Arena will receive a Veridian piggy bank.
