Two Titans Named NLL Players Of The Week

New York, NY - The New York Titans' starting goalie Matt Vinc was named NLL Defensive Player of the Week and John Orsen was named NLL Transition Player of the Week for their performance in the Titans 14-10 victory over the Toronto Rock on Friday, March 14 at the Air Canada Centre.
John Orsen's two goals against the Rock book ended the Titans win, scoring the first and last goal of the game, both of which were unassisted. The two goals were a season high for Orsen. He also scooped up 13 loose balls in the win.
Orsen is ranked 10 among all NLL players for loose balls, having collected 77 already this season.
Goalie Matt Vinc had an incredible night against the Rock, recording a weekend-high 51 saves and holding Toronto to only 10 goals in the victory, his best performance to date.
Vinc is ranked in 9th place among goalies in the NLL with a .768 saves percentage so far this season and in 2nd place in the league in total saves with 357.
The 5-5 Titans have won four of their last five games and are currently in fifth place in the East, one half game out of the play-offs.
The Titans will continue their hunt for a playoff spot this Saturday, when they take on the first place Philadelphia Wings at Sovereign Bank Arena in Trenton, N.J. at 7:30pm.
