
Minnesota Swarm Forward Craig Point Named NLL Rookie of the Week

SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The National Lacrosse League (NLL) today named Minnesota Swarm forward Craig Point Rookie of the Week for the fourth time this season.
Point, 22 (1/19/86), recorded a team-high four goals and six points including his first game-winning goal of the season to help lead the Swarm to a 13-9 victory over the Chicago Shamrox March 14 at Xcel Energy Center. He ranks first on the team with 21 goals, second in scoring with 46 points (21-25=46) and fifth with 53 loose balls. Point ranks second in the NLL with 23 power play points (7-16=23) this season. The 5-foot-11, 211-pound native of Ohsweken, Ontario was also named the NLL's February Rookie of the Month.
Minnesota (7-3) is off this weekend and returns to action March 29 at Chicago.
The Weekly Player Awards are determined by a vote of the General Managers and Head Coaches of the league's 12 member clubs.
