Two-time defending ULB champions announce open tryouts

AMARILLO, TX - The Amarillo Dillas Baseball Club announced today that they will hold open try outs for their 2010 season at the Amarillo National Bank Dilla Villa on Sunday, May 16th. Tryout fee is $20 with registration beginning at 9:00am immediately followed by a MLB-style tryout starting at 10am. Pre-registration will not be accepted.
Interested players must be at least 18 years of age and a high school graduate. Players are responsible for their own transportation, lodging accommodations, and meals. Participants will need to wear appropriate baseball attire including a cap; provide their own wood bats, helmets, and catching gear.
ULB Opening Day 2009 is Thursday, May 27 when the Dillas travel to San Angelo for a two-game series against the Colts. The reigning United League Champions will open their home schedule Saturday, May 29, when the Colts follow the Dillas back to Amarillo to play a four-game series. Season tickets are still available and single-game tickets officially go on-sale Saturday, May 1st.
