Two New Prizes For Fans This Weekend

Elmira, NY - The Elmira Jackals announced today the upcoming prizes to be awarded at Friday & Saturday's home games against Danbury and Adirondack at the First Arena.
Friday night, February 17th, as the Jackals host the Danbury Trashers for a 7:05 pm face off, one lucky fan will walk away with a spectacular prize. Friday's Fan of the Game will receive an opportunity to stand on the bench, behind the players, during the First Period of Saturday's game against the Adirondack Frostbite. This lucky Jackals' supporter will get an up close and personal view of what it is like on a professional hockey team's bench during a game.
Saturday, February 18th, the Adirondack Frostbite come to town and the team has another new prize set up for the fans. Saturday's Fan of the Game will win an exclusive Skating Lesson with the Elmira Jackals Coaches and Players. Saturday's winner along with 9 of their closest family and friends will get a chance of a lifetime, a one-hour skating session with Jackals Head Coach Perry Florio, Assistant Coach Sean Cowan and select Jackals players. The outing is scheduled for Saturday, March 4th before Elmira's pre-game morning skate as they prepare to play Adirondack once again. Coach Florio and Assistant Coach Cowan will provide coffee and doughnuts for the participants along with their extensive knowledge of hockey instruction.
"Sean and I are really looking forward to having some extra help on the bench," said Jackals Head Coach & Director of Hockey Operations Perry Florio. "Last week we lost a wild game to Adirondack in a shootout, so this Saturday I'll be accepting everyone's input on the bench, including the Fan of the Game winner. On a serious not, I really appreciate the support our fans have been giving us. I feel that these prizes are a great way to give something back to them, both the opportunity to join the coaches on the bench and skate with us in early March."
Also, the Elmira Jackals Booster Club will continue to sell an extremely limited supply of autographed Team Aquafina and Team Gatorade 2006 UHL All-Star Classic jerseys at their table, located in the concourse behind Section 116. The Booster Club is currently running an auction for one signed Team Aquafina jersey with all proceeds to be donated to the Marc Potvin Children's Education fund. The auction will come to an end of Saturday, February 18th and they will also be accepting donations to the Potvin fund during that time. The Jackals Booster Club hopes to present the funds raised to the Frostbite team when they come to the First Arena on Saturday.

Elmira finishes up their 6-game home stand this Friday, February 17th as they host the Danbury Trashers for a 7:05 pm face off at the First Arena. Saturday the Adirondack Frostbite are back in town to butt-heads with the Jackals, also a 7:05 pm face off.
