Two Key Talons Players Back for '08

The Tulsa Talons, of the af2, have officially been assigned, WR/DB Delenell Reid and QB Justin Allgood. Both return after a record breaking 2007 season.

"I'm excited about this upcoming season, with some of last years players coming back and after that championship win, I'm already looking forward to another ring," said Delenell Reid. Reid, 5-10, 175 lbs, returns for his fifth year of arena ball. A key defensive player for the Talons in 07, Reid recorded 73.5 total tackles (69 solo), had 9 interceptions, and 34 pass breakups. Prior to joining the Talons in 2007, he played two years with the Arkansas Twisters, where he ranks third in total tackles (100.5) in a season, and was named second in the Twisters all-time team history with 35 pass breakups.

Justin Allgood returns to the Talons for his third year of arena ball. Allgood, 6-1, 205 lbs, played in 13 of 16 regular season games in 07, where he threw for 1342 yards, completing 111 passes of which 30 were TDs. Allgood entered the af2 playing for the Oklahoma Yard Dawgz in 2006. Prior to arena ball, he gained college experience at the University of Central Oklahoma, where he finished as the second leading passer in UCO history with 4,870 yards and 34 TDs in over two seasons.
